Juhi and everyone

This is good discussion whether to invest in stocks or MF. I think its best to invest in stocks directly. How about analyzing the stock portfolios's of good MF and then directly invest in these stocks instead of investing in MF. How do you think about it.

Almost every year, the worst performing sector is the sector which performed best the year before. Investing is a form of savings. Each asset class has a historical return associated with it. Beware of alpha chasing to try to capture the best returns of the moment. Invariably, that approach will have an investor "long and wrong" at market highs.

Hi JEDHM,

I do not understand how one should only rely on five stars when we talk about long term investment. These stars may reduce during this long term because the team can not always perform better. Fund Managers may change and most of the work depends on the fund manager.

I think one should just see the volatility and the fundamentals as well as the fund managers past.

Thanks

Hi All,
Hear me Ye all out there. Those of u who profess to being true fundamentalists, hear me ye carefully. Your father ( Warren Buffet ) who art in berkshire , whose name will ever remain hallowed in the anunuls of the investment world, never ever invests money in the mutual fund industry. U know why?, He says he does that, not ( invest) because he can manage it better then them, we all know that he truly can manage it better then them, but because he strongly thinks that ones money needs to be managed by ones own self.
Once when he was asked if that were the case why should people invest in his berkshire investment company, u know what he answered.................guess what ?
well if u r a fundamentalist to the core u will know. i am technical analyst. so dont care much about fundamentals and fundamentalists.
