Since am new to market, I would lik to kno abt

1) How to Select Stocks ???
2) How to evaluate it ???
3) Wat is P/e, how does it affects the stock prices ??
4) Where to get information abt particular stocks ??

You can evaluate a stock on the basis of its P/E value , the past financial results, its BV(Beta value), the order book in hand etc... there are many parameters.
Its a deep study n you can even find plenty of books to study all that. Those who think that its an easy job to make money in the stock markets in short time by mere guessing markets rumours or listening TV news are only seasonal. They just come and dissapears in no time. Even choosing a good mutual fund is a study in itself for those who think that mutual funds can invest our money safe place...... well its again a long discussion.....

Well I keep this discussion open for all to continue and add/reply with your comments/article on it to help on new investors/traders

Thank you for ur information abt P/E ratio.
I find the information very useful from the linked u suggested.
Likewise, if i want to know whether a particular company is having an order book or not, where can i get these informations.
Is there any other website that projects, a particular company's order books or company's website wil itself have those informations ???

There are many sites where you can find detailed info about various companies data.
Like you can use www.moneycontrol.com and search the quote for a particular company (though there are so many popups advt on the site). You can find every info about any company like financial results, company address, news etc there.
Alternatively, you can use our menu on the top left for the latest quotes, news, nav etc. (Powered By Sharekhan.com).
N if u r net savvy, use google search and find info about your favourite company, you will get so much info but do look for information date... it should be latest.
Like recently I searched google for "bgr energy ipo grey market price" and found plenty of websites giving me the good information about it. But we have look for the info which is latest and the best and avoid info which are from non-reliable sources which might just be rumours.
