hi,
I am new too, but wud like to share somthing, Mutual funds are money raised to invest in diverse manner. so that there is relatively lesser risk compared to direct investment in equity (shares)
dividend is paid to the investors periodically (u also hav option to reinvest the profits).
shares, are raised by company to directly invest in a particular project or start of a particular company. company invites people to invest money for their bussiness. depending on profits/loss made by company the NAV keeps changing. (NAV- Net Asset Value).
many more things are there which i am too exploring, but i guess this is good for basic information.
cheers!
