The expansion project of Jindal SAW Nashik Unit has
been accorded the status of the Mega Project by the
Honorable Government of Maharashtra.

Jindal SAW Ltd is a part of the US $ 10 billion OP
Jindal Group. Under the expansion programme, the
present annual capacity of Nashik unit is being
augmented from 75000T of finished tubes to 220000T of
finished tubes. The main equipment PQF mill (Precision
Quality Finishing mill) with the state of the art
technology is being imported from SMS Germany and
other supporting equipments are being procured from
USA, China, South Korea and Austria. A new cold mill
is already under commissioning and the total expansion
is expected to be completed by Aug 2008.

With the approval as Mega Project, Nashik unit will be
eligible for Industrial promotion subsidy under the
Package scheme of incentives – 2007. This will help
the unit to be more competitive in the market since
major portion of the investment gets covered with the
subsidy.

The Nashik unit, situated in the Sinnar Malegaon MIDC,
is engaged in the manufacturing of seamless tubes for
application in Petroleum sector , Automotive sector
and numerous other segments like Boilers, Hydraulic
cylinders etc.
