Hindustan Zinc Ltd

Hindustan Zinc Ltd., India's major lead and zinc producer, has
announced Rs.50 billion-investment in Rajasthan.

The company is aiming expansion of mining and milling activities,
along with the setting up of a new lead and zinc smelting plants in
Chanderiya in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. With its mines in
Rampura-Agucha, Zawar and Rajpura-Dariba, and smelters located at
Chanderiya and Debari both in Rajasthan, Hindustan Zinc, a company of
Vedanta Resources, has positioned Rajasthan on the global mineral and
metals map.
