The net profit of Birla Corpn,the flagship company of the MP Birla group,surged by 159.404% at 326.23 crore while turnover recorded the highest ever growth by 25.19% at Rs.1794.51 crore for year ended 2006-07. The scrip is trading at 5.82 times to its current year's profit earnings and book value is Rs.85.33. If the same growth rate is maintained the share price of the Company will double from current level of Rs.246.40 (NSE-Dated 1/6/07). The risk factors being rate of inflation and Govt.'s polices towards cement sector.
