Satyam
Surely Satyam is one of the key players in IT Sector. However, the strengthening of the Rupee against US$ is a matter of concern for all IT software solution companies trading in US$. Over a period of less than six months the Rupee has appreciated by about 10-13% thereby eroding the profit of these IT companies who have approximatley over 85% of their revenues derived from the US or in US$. It is unlikely that US$ will strengthen with the current trend in US economy. These factors that are beyond the control of IT Companies are sure to have severe impact on the profits and hence situation of IT Companies will be quite volatile unless US$ stabilizes.
