hello all
i have taken few shares of IOC @730 each, now the price has come down badly...should i sell the shares or for some time..?????

I should say no. Hold for sometime and see. afterall one should gain profit against each penny that you have invested.

As we are headed downwards with a sideways bias i think ne would do well to sell in the forthcoming rally whatever one has the best way to reamin at this point of time is to be in cash never mind the amount of ur loss.

it is a good poll.one must listen but take his own decisions . it is his money and the responsibility is also yours

yes honestly after reading i felt the need to add one more option, which could be like, never, i do what my system tells me to do.
This is important as players like me do this all the time, no matter what our minds r saying and what the world is howling about we strictly stick to what our systems say, we just employ what it says and go about it with great precision.

It would be a bit biased (as u r our oldest user)... This poll is for general ppl who normally dont use the system for trading signals...
Well u can start a new thread with a poll like... Which is the best signal trading software? (or any other question)
and list 4 or 5 software names there including urs.....

Hi Admin,
yes maybe it is a bit biased, but the whole aim was again not to point a flaw in the poll but tomake people realise whether they have anything as a system in the first place. The deficition of a system has the following key points
1) an entry point in time and price
2) an exit point in time and price
3) an stop loss point in time and price
What i wanted to bring home was the fact that inspite of trading being all about these three things there are very few people who actually have taken care to precisely define these. Even the best of the so called intellectuals will continiously change their own rules. It is sad that when u try to bring them to face their shortcoming, they will get into a intellectual high talk with u about market being dynamic and stuff like that.
Guys all of u out there, i dont say this because i have developed somthing like this but because i love trading so much that it pains to see pseudo traders take the centrestage and claim knowledge of things which r not even remotely within their mental capabilities.
The faster one realises that all that is required for trading is a clear vision and the above three rules the better of he or she will be in the long run.
My open question today is why not have a facility where we can share our contract notes, no better way then that to prove whether one is genuiely a trader. i mean a true trader
