This is where an individual trader can really shine. You can port your trading business to many parts of the world. The less you day trade and require a live data feed, the more places you can travel to and live in. As long as you can make a phone connection, and obtain prices within a reasonable length of time, you are in business. And now with access via electronic trading and the Internet, the entire world is your market.

“(10) Here’s a crucial one that’s often overlooked: the ideal business satisfies your intellectual (and often emotional) needs. There’s nothing like being fascinated with what you’re doing. When that happens, you’re not working, you’re having fun.

Here is another situation in which trading really glows. Most individuals trading their own account really and truly enjoy the never ending challenge of the markets.

“(11) The ideal business leaves you with free time. In other words, it doesn’t require your labor and attention 12, 16, or 18 hours a day (my wife, who leaves the house at12:00PM and comes home at 12:30 AM and often later, has been well aware of this one).”

Even an addicted day trader does not have to trade all day long or every day of the week. Trading can be tremendously relaxed and leisurely if you allow it to be.

“(12) Super-important: the ideal business is one in which your income is not limited by your personal output (lawyers and doctors have this problem). No, in the ideal business you can sell 10,000 customers as easily as you sell one (publishing is and example).

Okay, so I only got 11 out of 12 right. Sad but true, when you are a trader, you are IT! You can’t hire a substitute. But you can sell 100 contracts with the same effort it takes to sell 10 contracts.

“That’s it. If you use this list it may help you cut through a lot of nonsense and hypocrisy and wishes and dreams regarding what you are looking for in life and in your work. None of us own or work at the ideal business. But it’s helpful knowing what we’re looking for and dealing with. As a buddy of mine once put it, ‘I can’t lay an egg and I can’t cook, but I know what a great omelet looks and tastes like.’

“ ‘Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love, but only with distaste, it is better that you leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms from those who work with joy.’

Corrected the formatting. After copying from the word file try to first paste it in a "Notepad" and the Cut it and paste it here.
As sometimes it doesn't recognise the complex formattings inside word document.

Hi Admin,
thanks a lot i will keep that in mind next time onwards. If the markets dont go up on monday i think i will have all the time in the world to do all the writing.

Hi Sisrin,
i had mentioned in my last post that if the markets dont go up on monday then i will have all the time in the world to write on things. Well the market did go up on monday. Andi ended up buying grasim. eventually i sold it on tuesday itself for a no profit no loss situation. Moreover what has happened on wednesday is very bad. It surely leaves me time to do some soul searching about where these markets are headed. One important level for all to remember this friday is a closing above 5709 on nifty futures. If that were not to be achieved then it is going to be very tough for this market to sustain its upmove.
With all that i ahve written above the best thing for u sisrin is to simply take ur money and stay by the sidelines dont venture near these markets for now. I am sure this will not be the answer u were looking for. But that exactly is my opinion for u.

Hi All,
well yesterday was a day of reckoning for our markets. Something somewhere is wrong for sure. If this is just a small correction then it has to come out of it pretty fast. What then should one of us look out for in the days ahead. 5709 is a very important level. I normally do not mention these levels in my writings, but i felt the need as my conscience dint allow me to just sit tight when i sense that there is something wrong with the way this market is going. U know many of u have come to the markets recently, or maybe not more then three or four years. U may not be aware of what happens when things start getting wrong. The realisation sets in very late normally. Let this piece i have written go down in history as the voice of a man who alerted people of something wrong somewhere ahead of the actual earthquake hitting us. Happy shock taking. ( Yes i meant exactly that "shock taking" )

Hi All,
The level of 5709 was tried to be overwhelmed by the markets. But the pressure from bears was equally strong. 5709 was tried to be captured but the bulls have failed. The batle is truly going the bear way. Yet one more day remains for the bulls to come out and fight for it. We shall wait by the sidelines to see the show. I for one feel that inspite of the continous three day rally ( the US markets are rising as i write this) globally it has not saved the bulls. Wonder what will be the trigger tomorrow?. Honestly i see none in sight. Well shock taking has begun. Gentleman, tighten ur seat belts. We may experience inclement weather in the near future.

Hi All,
Well the only thing that must ahve saved the bulls was their sheer determination to stick to their task and also because it was the first day of the new series. In the end, the bulls did win the war, so what if they lost the battle yesterday. Friday closing is above 5709. That is a good thing. Four stocks have given a buy signal, grasim happens to be one of them. I mention grasim because this was the stock which had suffered when the market fell day before. It has a loss in its account. When a stock which has generated signal on the system fails the next valid signal is to be taken very seriously as the market has a way of helping u cover ur past lossess. So the special mention of this stock. Grasim dec futures ended the day at 3847.2 and my target in the days to come till wednesday is 3977.60. So there is nowhere to run for me i have got the stock along with three others so in all i am long four stocks in all. happy trading once again

Hi All,
in the first hour of trading today a point to be remembered is the value of 5731.85 for the nifty futures. If this is breached then we are in a bit of a trouble and that menas that the bears are again coming out in this series. I will keep u all posted about the same today as i am sitting to trade myself.
